Calendar – Music – UNITED Conference to Present American Traditional Music Concert – Sept. 20

Marquette – Northern Michigan University will hold its annual Uniting Neighbors in the Experience of Diversity (UNITED) Conference Saturday, September 19 through Tuesday, September 29. UNITED is composed of a broad range of presentations, musical performances and film.

Ginny Hawker and Tracy Schwarz will perform “Sweet Harmonies of American Traditional Music,” with local folk band All Strings Considered opening the concert, on Sunday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center.

UNITED is designed to “inform the NMU and greater Marquette area of different perspectives and points of view, with the ultimate goal of helping people think differently about diversity and inclusion.”
