Project Feed A Neighbor
Matthew 25 verses 35 – 40, excerpt:
“For I was hungry and you fed me.” “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’
Wesley United Methodist Church will sponsor the sixth annual Project Feed A Neighbor, a community wide food drive to restock the pantries at the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul. Numerous area churches, schools, and service organizations will help, but there is still a need for members of our church to contribute to this important outreach ministry.
Key dates, all starting at Wesley:
Tuesday, April 7th, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.: Assemble food collection bags with labels & rubber bands.
Saturday, April 11th, 10:00 to noon: Drivers and students deliver bags throughout Ishpeming
(This is the most important day – we need 40 drivers to go to the neighborhoods.)
Saturday, April 18th, 10:00 to noon: Drivers and students collect the food donations and
deliver to the pantries.
Help with lunch preparation and cookies/bars on April 11th.
Help with cookies and bars for April 18th.
Financial contribution: We need $100 to cover the cost of labels and supplies.
Please consider how you can show the love of Jesus by being part of Project Feed A Neighbor.
Please sign up after the 9:00 or 11:00 worship service.
God bless,
Discipleship Committee
