Marquette – The Ancient Artifact Preservation Society will host an educational program on “The Mystic Symbol: Mark of the Michigan Mound Builders” on Saturday, April 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
“The Mystic Symbol: The Mark of the Michigan Mound Builders” is a documentary by Ancient American Magazine founder Wayne May. The film relates the story of thousands of artifacts unearthed in mounds all across the Lower Peninsula in the late 1800s, mostly by farmers and laymen. Admission is free.
