Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center and the Sands Model Airplane Club will present an educational Adventure in Flight on Tuesday, July 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the history center, 145 W. Spring Street, Marquette.
The program is open to guests age 7 and older; children 7 to 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will build their own glider using aeronautic techniques and see a live demonstration of radio controlled airplanes and helicopters.
Cost is $10, which includes materials and instruction needed to build your own glider.
Those who attend will be eligible for the winter 2012 advanced flying course. Registration for the advance course is limited. For more information, call 226-3571.
