FREE DIABETES WORKSHOP to be offered at M-TEC at Bay College April 7th Through May 12th

Escanaba, MI – A Diabetes self-management workshop is being offered in Iron Mountain beginning on April 7th. The Diabetes-PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) workshop is a six week workshop designed to provide the skills and tools needed by people living with Type 2 diabetes to improve their health and manage their symptoms. As a result, participants are better equipped to face the daily challenge of living with diabetes. Two trained leaders conduct the workshop. Subjects covered include: symptoms of diabetes, stress, managing fatigue and emotional problems, exercise, healthy eating, medications, and working with health care providers.

The six week class will meet on Tuesday afternoons at M-Tec on Bay College Campus in Escanaba, 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm beginning on April 7th and ending on May 12th. Class sizes are limited and preregistration is required – family and caregivers are welcome. There is no cost to attend. Please call 1-906-233-4255 to register.
