Calendar – Education – Lecture by Jim Crow Museum Founder – Mar. 24

Marquette – David Pilgrim, vice president of diversity and inclusion at Ferris State University, will present “Is the United States a Post-Racial Society?” on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the Erie Room of the University Center at Northern Michigan University.

Pilgrim is the founder and curator of the Jim Crow Museum, a collection of thousands of racist artifacts located at Ferris State University. In 2004, Pilgrim and Clayton Rye produced “Jim Crow’s Museum,” which won best documentary at the Flint Film Festival. He challenges audiences to think deeply about diversity and race relations.

This event is sponsored by the NMU Office of the President and the Multicultural Education and Resource Center. It is free and open to the public.
