Marquette – Northern Michigan University’s Great Decisions Global Discussion Series will feature photojournalist Jared Kohler presenting “Through the Lens: Lessons from the Syrian Refugee Crisis” on Tuesday, March 24 at 9 a.m. in Hedgcock 2303 on the NMU campus.
Syrians have welcomed refugees from other countries in its region, but because of a multi-year civil war, they are on track to become the source of the world’s largest refugee population in a matter of months. Kohler reveals the human and political sides of the crisis through his camera lens and follows the challenging journey of the refugee experience.
The event is free and open to the public.
