EXTENSION OF PRESQUE ISLE PARK ROAD CLOSURE FOR
SALAMANDER MIGRATION

In cooperation with the Superior Watershed Partnership and Northern Michigan
University Biology Department, the City of Marquette will be extending the closing of
a portion of Peter White Drive in Presque Isle Park to facilitate the ongoing safe
migration of the blue-spotted salamander.
The closure of the southwest bend of Peter White Drive from the Ice Cream Store
Pavilion to the gate north of the pavilion closure to vehicle daily at 8:00 p.m. has been
extended to May 22, as the migration is not yet complete
