Shakespeare Readers “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare on Wednesday, January 7

MARQUETTE, MI – Shakespeare Readers will start the new year off with a reading of “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare on Wednesday, January 7 at 6:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room .

This tragedy, written early in Shakespeare’s career, is about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare’s most popular plays during his lifetime and continues to be today with the title characters being regarded as archetypal young lovers.

Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new readers are always welcome.
