USDA Pilot Study Completed in the Upper Peninsula

You are invited to attend a press conference on November 20 at 10:00 am in the Citizen’s Forum Room at Lakeview Arena in Marquette. This event will highlight the ten U.P. farms that have achieved USDA GAP Certification via a pilot study sponsored by USDA and the Wallace Center. The U.P. Food Exchange, the farms involved in the project, and the partner agencies that have contributed staff time will all be present to receive their certifications and be recognized for the ground-breaking work that they are doing to pioneer a culture of food safety in their respective U.P. communities. We would be honored if you would join us for this special event. Attached is a detailed invitation as well as an overview of the project.
