Marquette – The Peter White Public Library’s Film Club will offer a free screening of the modern classic film “My Favorite Year” on Thursday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the library.
Benjy Stone, a young TV comedy writer played by Mark Linn-Baker, reminisces about the summer of 1954, when he met his idol, swashbuckling actor Allan Swann. Not so famous anymore, Swann shows up on the set, roaring drunk. About to be dumped by the show’s director, Benjy intervenes and promises to keep Swann on the straight and narrow during the week leading up to the show.
