Marquette, MI – A crowdfunding project to create a public space around an existing skate park in Marquette is running out of time. They are about half way to meeting their $10,000 goal. If they get the $10,000 by Friday, then MEDC (the Pure Michigan folks) will match it with another $10,000. Our organization, the Michigan Municipal League, is a partner in this effort and if you’d like to do an interview about it with Summer Minnick in our office she is available by phone at 517-420-3800. Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that the League’s annual Convention is taking place in Marquette next month (Oct. 15-17). More than 400 municipal officials from all parts of our state will be in Marquette for this Convention.
