Marquette – Film fans are invited to a BYO Dinner Theater to enjoy a screening of “The Monuments Men” on Thursday, August 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, this drama focuses on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked to go into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and return them to their rightful owners. The Monuments Men, as they were called, found themselves in a race against time to avoid the destruction of 1000 years of culture, they would risk their lives to protect and defend mankind’s greatest achievements.
“The Monuments Men” was released in 2014, is rated PG and runs for 118 minutes. BYO Dinner Theater welcomes the public to bring their own takeou supper and enjoy a feature film, in a dinner theater setting.
