Marquette – Film fans are invited to a BYO Dinner Theater to enjoy a screening of “The Book Thief” on Thursday, July 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Based on the beloved international bestseller, “The Book Thief” tells the story of Liesel, a courageous young girl sent to live with a foster family in World War II Germany. She learns to read with encouragement from her foster father, a Jewish refugee who they are hiding under the stairs. This film is a life-affirming story of
survival and of the resilience of the human spirit.
The film, released in 2013, is rated PG-13 and runs for 131 minutes. BYO Dinner Theater welcomes the public to bring their own takeout supper and enjoy a feature film, in a dinner theater setting. There is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
