Area Democrats Host Campaign Kick-Off Dinner – Friday, May 16th

MARQUETTE – The Marquette County Democratic Party will host the 2014 “Campaign Kick-Off” dinner Friday, May 16 at the Bottum University Center in Marquette.

The event gets underway with a social at 5:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and comments from candidates.

All Democratic Party candidates will have the opportunity to address those in attendance about what they plan for the upcoming election cycle.

“This has become a tradition in Marquette County to start the election campaign as the filing deadlines have come to a close,” said MCDP Chair Ben Bohnsack about the dinner. “It’s a great chance to see and hear all of the Democratic candidates at one time.”

Cost of the dinner is $35 in advance for people with a Michigan Democratic Party membership, and $40 for non-members. After Tuesday, May 13 the cost is $50 for everyone. Call Jack LaSalle at 228-8196 for reservation/payment.
