Marquette – Afternoon Classic Films will present a screening of “Von Ryan’s Express” starring Frank Sinatra and Trevor Howard on Monday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This World War II war adventure film is about a group of Allied prisoners who, after Italy’s armistice with the Allies in September 1943, conduct a daring mass escape by hijacking a freight train and
fleeing through German-occupied Italy to Switzerland.
Released in 1965 and shot on location in Italy and Spain, the film is
shown in color and runs for 117 minutes.
There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of
