Join experienced mushers, Darlene Walch and Kent Koehn, for a Volunteer Training session on how to be a dog handler, road crossing guard, and provide effective crowd control during our three races this year.
This training session is geared toward new volunteers and anyone who wants to know what it is like before they sign up to volunteer. Background information about sled dogs and dog care, the trail, and the upcoming races will be included.
Warm up in the Sands Twp gym where hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by the Sands Township Recreation Committee.
