Tasty Reads on October 21st at Peter White Public Library in Marquette

Marquette, MIOctober 21, 2013 – Tasty Reads, a book group for readers who love to cook, will meet for a lunchtime book discussion at the Peter White Public Library on Monday, October 21 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm in the library’s Shiras Room. This month’s meeting celebrates the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten.

Author, Emmy Award winning host of the Food Network program Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten is a former White House nuclear policy analyst. Known for designing recipes with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and time-saving tips, she has been noted by Martha Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, and Patricia Wells for her cooking and home entertaining.

Garten’s culinary career began with a gourmet food store, then authoring several best-selling cookbooks, magazine columns, self-branded convenience products, and a popular TV show.

Participants are invited enjoy a sample recipe inspired by the author and new members are always welcome. The Tasty Reads meets the third Monday of each month at the library and there is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
