Third Street Sustainability Plan Presentations, September 17th

Robert Gibbs, Gibbs Planning Group, will be in Marquette on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 to present the Draft Third Street Sustainability Plan and Form Based Code developed for the North Third Street Corridor.

The plan is the culmination of planning efforts aimed at creating a vibrant and sustainable Third Street Corridor. The planning process involved multiple public sessions with stakeholders, constituents, and the general public. After presentations to the public, the next steps will be review and revisions by City Staff, review and approval by the City Planning Commission, and recommendations to the City Commission for adoption. The planning project was made possible by a $75,000 Community Sustainability Planning grant from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).

The presentation schedule is as follows:

Morning presentation of Code and Plan: 8:00 a.m.
Open drop-in session for community questions & comments: 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.
Evening presentation of Code and Plan: 7:00 p.m.

All sessions will be held at the Marquette Commons, 112 S. Third Street.
