Biology Seminars at NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich.— Northern Michigan University’s biology department will host four biology seminars next week. All will take place in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building. They are free and open to the public.

The series will begin with a presentation titled “Conservation Planning: Does an Ecosystem-based Approach Work for Terrestrial Vertebrates?” by Kristin Denryter, a master’s degree candidate. Her talk will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19. Travis Bailey will present “Modeling Degeneration and Regeneration in the Zebrafish Retina” at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20.

Master’s candidate Keith Sabin will present “Induction of T Cell Apoptosis by Glioblastoma Multiforme” at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21. Amy Spiegel will close out the week with “Hippocampal Interneuron Integrity in Aging” at 4 p.m. Friday, March 22.
