graphic novel book club, “Let’s Get Graphic” Meets Monday, February 23rd

MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN – Peter White Public Library’s first graphic novel book club, “Let’s Get Graphic” will meet on Monday, February 23rd, 7:30 pm, at Taiga Games in Marquette. We will be discussing “Saga” volume 1 written by Brian K. Vaughn and illustrated by Fiona Staples.

A mash up of Romeo and Juliet, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and Star Wars, “Saga” is a space opera of star crossed lovers trying to escape a war between their people, with their baby in tow. Marko and Alana only want to raise their daughter Hazel in peace, but when two bounty hunters, a prince, and others hunting them down, where will they go? “Saga” appeals to science fiction and fantasy fans alike. Follow the winged people of Landfall, the horned people of Wreath, a half manifested ghost, Robot royal family, spider bounty hunter, talking cat and more with this Eisner, Hugo, and Harvey award winning book. If you are a seasoned graphic novel reader or are looking to join a book club, this is the group for you. However, you must be age 18 or older due to mature content.
