Marquette – Upper Penisula Down Syndrome Association invites the public to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday, March 21 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Marquette Commons on South Third Street in Marquette.
“Poopeck” the clown will be doing face painting and balloon animals. Corinne Rockow will provide musical entertainment. UPDSA members are providing snacks and drink.
To raise awareness and get people talking about Down Syndrome, across the world people will be wearing “lots of socks”. Not just any socks, but brightly colored, mismatched, maybe even 3 socks for 3 chromosomes! Wear your brightest socks and join the fun.
