“Comedy Central On Campus” Is Here For Winter Carnival!

HOUGHTON, MI, February, 2013 – – “Comedy Central on Campus” is bringing their favorite rising stars to
campuses nationwide on their fifth college tour, and they are coming to the Rozsa Center on Saturday, February 9,
2013, 9:00 PM. Michigan Tech’s Student Entertainment Board welcomes the next big names in comedy:
Headliner John Mulaney, opener Sheng Wang, and just announced, the host for the night will be Jermaine Fowler
(replacing Rory Scovel) during its Winter Carnival celebration.

John Mulaney is a writer for “Saturday Night Live” and has performed on “Comedy Central Presents,” “Late
Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Live at Gotham,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Sheng Wang is a Taiwanese Texan who developed and honed his comedy in the thriving stand-up community of
the San Francisco Bay Area. He has toured with the Comedians of Comedy and American Eagle’s “Campus
Comedy Challenge.” He has also appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and attended the Just for
Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. His half-hour “Comedy Central Presents” will air this season. On his 20th
birthday, Jermaine Fowler, moved to New York City from Washington D.C. with a small suitcase and big dreams.
Soon after, he was being acknowledged in the New York Post’s 50 Funniest Jokes alongside David Letterman and
Jay Leno. He’s performed in festivals across the country like the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival where he won
the Rooftop Comedy Silver Nail Award. He’s also performed as a finalist in NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity and is
currently on tour with Comedy Central. He is regularly featured on CollegeHumor.com and you may recognize
him in commercials for SoBe Lifewater, Bud Light, Scion (Comedy Central), and Microsoft Bing. Jermaine was
recently chosen by ABC to act in their 10th Annual Diversity Showcase. Now 24, you can catch Jermaine on
SyFy’s brand new series “Insane or Inspired”, Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, and the reboot pilot of In
Living Color.

(SDC), 600 MacInnes Drive, in Houghton. SDC box office hours are 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Monday-Friday, and
8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday and 12:00 noon – 8:00 PM on Sunday. Please note the Rozsa Box Office is closed
during regular business hours, and will only open two hours prior to show times. Michigan Technological
