Marquette – The U.P. Land Conservancy will screen the environmental film “The First 70” on Monday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

The film is an inspiring journey through California, visiting the majestic state parks slated to close due to budget cuts. Experience the beauty and history that may be lost forever, and meet the people who are working to preserve the places they love for everyone to enjoy.

Following the film will be a brief presentation on Land Conservancies and the importance of land protection.
