Marquette – Shakespeare Readers will meet for a reading of “Trolius and Cressida” on Wednesday, February 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The play is set in the seventh year of the Trojan War of Greek mythology, when a Trojan prince named Troilus falls in love with Cressida, the daughter of a Trojan priest who has defected to the Greek side. Written around 1602, the play ends on a very bleak note with the death of the noble Trojan Hector and destruction of the love between Troilus and Cressida.
Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new members are always welcome.
