Marquette – Join the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter for the 2nd Annual Multi-Media and Book Swap on Thursday, January 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. in The Compas (basement) of the Masonic Temple on W. Washington Street in downtown Marquette.
Bring books, CDs, DVDs or records to swap with others. Admission is a $15 donation which includes all-you-can-eat soup and sandwiches from Baby Cakes. There will also be wine samples, a silent auction, UPAWS items for sale, and just plain old good fun.
Some of the great silent auction items include an Ipod Shuffle package, Ipod
package, gift certificates to local stores, Nook E-Reader, a pet package, and National Geographic and book package.
