The Upper Peninsula Children’s Coalition in partnership with the Marquette Branch of the American Association of University Women will once again host a candidate forum in preparation for the election on November 6.
“The Candidate Forum will be an opportunity for the candidates from across the U.P. to respond to questions about issues that affect children and families in the Upper Peninsula,” said Karlyn Rapport, Public Policy Representative with the AAUW.
“We want people in our community to be more familiar with the people who represent them,” said Margaret Olesnavage, UPCC Chair. “We’d also like to make sure that candidates and the public alike are familiar with the issues that affect children and families in the U.P.”
The forum will take place on October 18th in Marquette at the Peter White Public Library beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of the Upper Peninsula Children’s Coalition is to work with all Upper Peninsula organizations and individuals concerned with children in order to identify children’s needs, promote their services and rights, and provide long-range planning for positive change.
