Wolves and Wild Lands in the 21st Century Exhibit at Peter White Public Library

A timely new exhibition from the Bell Museum of Natural History at the University of Minnesota, Wolves and Wild Lands in the 21st Century is on display now through September 30 in the Peter White Public Library Huron Mountain Club Gallery.

The traveling exhibit explores wolves and their closely related cousins- the red wolf and coyote- in North America, from the Arctic to the southwestern United States and the economic pressures that continue to shape their existence. It provides a compelling, continental perspective on wolves today featuring  mounted specimens with interpretative panels. Organized by region, each wolf is presented in its human and natural-history context.

There is no admission charge to view the exhibit thanks to funding from the library, Lake Superior Watershed Partnership, Upper Peninsula Chapter of the Sierra Club, Friends of the PWPL. For more information call the Peter White Public Library at 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info.
