Marquette -The Friday Film Club welcomes the public to a screening of the modern classic film “Raiders of the Lost Ark” on Friday, July 20 at 1:30 pm in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
A nine time Oscar nominee, the film details the adventures of archeologist Dr. Indiana Jones, a respected college professor sporting a trademark brown fedora and whip. Set in the 1936, during the rise of the Third Reich, Jones battles snakes, Nazis, and supernatural forces from Nepal to Cairo to rescue the Ark of the Covenant, a sacred box containing the original Ten Commandments.
Released in 1981, this action packed adventure is rated PG and runs for 115 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
