Marquette – The Albert and James Lyon Camp of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will meet on Saturday, June 2 at 1 p.m. in the Board Room on the basement level of the DJ Jacobetti Home for Veterans, 425 Fisher Street, Marquette.
The Camp is composed of Upper Peninsula residents from Brimley to Menominee who have an interest in the Civil War and a commitment to perpetuating the memory of the men who fought to preserve this nation. It specifically works to collect, preserve, and document the location of records, artifacts, and memorabilia and to locate, mark, record, and maintain the graves of Civil War soldiers.
