Marquette – The film “Honoring Diversity with Grassroots Responsiblity” will be shown on Wednesday, January 25 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
The documentary film is about an unlikely community organizer uniting Palestinians and Israelis to save their Palestinian village of Budrus from destruction by Israel’s Separation Barrier. The inspiring, nonviolent movement continues to gain ground today.
A question and answer session will follow the film with Barbara and Lindsay Michael who participated in a human rights trip to Israel and Palestine in July.
For more information, call 273-1174. The program is sponsored by the local chapter of the Green Party.
