Calendar – Education/Outdoors – Moon/Astronomical Public Viewing – Oct. 8

Marquette – Marquette Astronomical Society will host a public viewing event for International Moon Night on Saturday, October 8 beginning at 8 p.m. in Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette.

MAS members will have telescopes and binoculars available for viewing the Moon and Jupiter, when it rises after 9 p.m.

Street lights along Lakeshore Blvd will be dimmed for an enhanced viewing experience. If heavy clouds or rain prevail the event will be canceled.
