Marquette – Rehearsals for the Marquette Choral Society’s December concerts will begin on Monday, September 12 at 7 p.m. in the choral room of the Thomas Fine Arts Building at Northern Michigan University.
No audition is necessary. There is a modest fee for music and membership which can be paid anytime during the first three rehearsals. The chorus is directed by Floyd Slotterback, a professor of music at NMU.
The December program will feature Carols in the Cathedral, a presentation of both familiar and less familiar carols and sacred Christmas pieces. Concerts will take place Dec. 3-4 at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette.
