Houghton – The Department of Natural Resources’ Western Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council (CAC) will meet Monday, September 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Michigan Technological University’s Memorial Union Building, Isle Royale Ballroom B, Second Floor, located at 1400 Townsend Drive in Houghton.
DNR staff will present division reports and answer questions from council members and the public, followed by the council meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Agenda items include special presentations on the Copperwood Project and the timber industry relationships with the State. Additional updates on invasive species, the Menominee River Headwaters Project, and White-nose syndrome in bats will be provided.
