Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a presentation on the paintings and poetry of Vietnam veteran Steve Wahlstrom on Wednesday, May 25 at noon at Wahlstrom’s Restaurant in Harvey.
After a social Dutch-treat lunch purchased off the menu, participants will hear Wahlstrom’s poetry, view several of his paintings and experience some storytelling. Wahlstrom will also share his thoughts and experiences on his art and the war that inspired him. His work has been on exhibit at the Peter White Public Library and is scheduled to be displayed in the DeVos Art Museum in 2013.
