Marquette – The Peter White Public Library will host a Lunch and Learn program titled “A Candid Conversation on Suicide” on Wednesday, May 18 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Community Room.
According to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, more than 34,000 people in the United States die by suicide every year, and most offer warning signs before doing so. Myra Brooks, clinical supervisor at Marquette General Behavioral Health Services, will discuss the warning signs of someone at risk of suicide and how to respond to them.
Attendees are invited to bring their own lunch or buy from the library cafe. Beverages will be provided.
