Marquette – The YMCA will sponsor Splash Week May 4 through 7. The week will be devoted to promoting water recreation and safety along Marquette’s Lake Superior shoreline.
On Wednesday May 4, Marquette City Fire Chief Tom Belt and Marquette Waterfront Safety Task Force member Karla McCutcheon will discuss the task force’s preliminary report and recommendations, as well as how the city is responding to enhance waterfront safety, at 7 p.m. in the YMCA lounge.
The event is free to area families.
