Ishpeming – A National Night Out event will be held on Wednesday, August 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ishpeming Township Fire Hall.
Featured will be fire truck rides, displays and a bounce house for children. Members of the Rescue 131 Unit, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department, the Michigan State Police and the Bell Hospital ambulance will be on hand.
Children will be taught how to call 911 in an emergency, and will have an opportunity to dress like a firefighter and use a real fire hose. Hot dogs, brats and soft drinks will be served.
