Marquette – The Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve will host a benefit concert on Friday March 25 at 7 p.m. at the Landmark Inn’s Harbor Room and feature Legacy’s Universe, a Motown rock/jazz band.
The benefit will be to raise funds for acquiring land as part of the group’s Land Conservation Program. Purchasing the land for conservation will allow the protection of the large groves of old growth white pine, regenerating cedar, and numerous springs.
Tickets will be $10 at the door which include hors’ doeuvres and a complimentary keg. A cash bar will also be available. During the concert, the group will showcase large print high quality photographs of the land and adjacent watershed. These photos will be matted and available through silent auction. All proceeds will go directly toward the acquisition of the parcel.
