Marquette – Marquette County Relay For Life will host their Kickoff Event on Thursday, April 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette.
The Kickoff event is held annually to inaugurate the current Relay Season and introduce the public to volunteer opportunities. It will include education on what Relay for Life is all about, the decorating of a Luminaria and how to sign up a team. A silent auction benefiting Relay for Life, will also be held, with items donated by local businesses and our teams. The Event Leadership Team will be available all night to help answer any questions.
The biggest change this year is that Kickoff is a chance for teams to start fundraising. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for children 12 and under, three and under are free. Teams are selling them and get credit for ticket sales. The public can also purchase tickets from Cale at Anytime Fitness in Marquette, Monday to Thursday 10-7. Catering is provided by Mama Russo’s and Joe’s Cakes, with additional donations by Econo Foods and SuperOne Marquette.
