Marquette – The Upper Peninsula Universal Design Symposium will be held Wednesday, March 23 beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a reception in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Valerie Fletcher, executive director of the Institute for Human Centered Design, will discuss the concept of universal design, which is architectural planning which ensures easy access for all people. During the reception attendees will have the opportunity meet Fletcher and fellow presenter Peter Berg of Great Lakes ADA Center. Berg specializes in requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act.
