Marquette – “Exploring Life Stories,” a program celebrating oral history projects, will take place on Sunday, March 7 at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette. The focus of the event is the opening of “Your Story and Mine: A Community of Hope,” a multimedia traveling exhibit on display at the library March 7 through April 3.
The event will feature presentations by Martha A. Bloomfield of the Michigan Historical Museum, Tiina Harris of the Marquette County History Museum, and Helen McCormick, founder of Room at the Inn,.
Following the presentations there will be a reception for the traveling exhibit as well as a concurrent display of local oral history projects created by the Bothwell Middle School students of Jean Lawless, and an informational display on Room At The Inn in the library’s Huron Mountain Club Gallery on the main floor.
