Marquette – The Afternoon Classic Films Series will present a screening of “A Song To Remember” starring Paul Muni, Cornel Wilde and Merle Oberon on Monday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
This film biography follows the short but passionate life of composer Frederic Chopin. The story takes the viewer from the height of Chopin’s virility to his decaying health due to the pressure of superstardom. The soundtrack features beautiful piano music by Chopin.
Released in 1945, “A Song to Remember” received six Academy Award nominations, is shown in color and runs for 113 minutes.
