Marquette – The Afternoon Classic Films Series will present a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rear Window” on Monday, April 4 at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
The film stars James Stewart, Grace Kelly and Raymond Burr. Wheelchair-bound photojournalist L.B. Jeffries and his beautiful fiancee Lisa Fremont spy on their neighbors and then solve a brutal murder no one else believes occurred. Unavailable for more than 20 years, “Rear Window” is an eloquently entertaining, exhilarating, and bittersweet film.
Nominated for 4 Academy Awards, this film is ranked as #49 of American Film Institute’s Top 100 Films list. Released in 1954, “Rear Window” is shown in color and runs for 112 minutes.
