Calendar – Education – Antarctic Adventure Presentation – Feb. 16

Marquette – Elizabeth Bakewell Rajala will give a presentation on her father’s Antarctic Adventure on Wednesday, February 16 at 4 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

William L. Bakewell was the only American on Sir Ernest Shackleton’s expedition to sail south in 1914. Bakewell lived in the U.P. and is buried in Skandia.
