U.P. – “Turn the U.P. Pink” T-shirts are on sale through October 15 at all area elementary and high schools. Shirts cost $10 each, with proceeds going to breast cancer awareness. Schools that sell 100 shirts will receive a plaque, and the schools selling the most shirts will be recognized by local radio stations and newspapers.
The object of the sale is to have as many people as possible wear the shirts on Thursday, November 11, “turning the U.P. pink” in support of the fight against breast cancer.
