Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will present the “Sunburns to Snowstorms” Fundraiser on Thursday, January 29 at 7 p.m. in Kaufman Auditorium on North Front Street in Marquette.
Meteorologist and author Karl Bohnak and photo historian Jack Deo are combining their stories and images to illustrate the wide range of weather extremes we experience living in the U.P. View famous weather events from the last 150 years: forest fires, lightning, tornados, floods and of course snow. There’s shipwrecks, car wrecks, train wrecks and all sorts of mayhem caused by weather.
Tickets for this fund-raiser are $15 in advance; $18 at the door. Purchase online at marquettehistory.org
