Marquette – The Peter White Public Library Youth Services Department will present “Phytoplankton: Living Sunlight” with Penny Chisholm on Thursday, July 29 at 1 p.m. in Shiras Room.
Chisholm will discuss photosynthesis, show how plants make living matter from the sun and how photosynthetic phytoplankton form the base of the food web in lakes and oceans. Chisholm, a Marquette native, teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she does research on ocean plankton.
