Calendar – Education – Cousteau to Visit NMU – March 30

Marquette – Alexandra Cousteau, founder of the non-profit organization Blue Legacy, will present “Reflections in the Water” on Tuesday, March 30 at 7 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center at Northern Michigan University.

Admission is free with NMU I.D., $5 for the general public.

Cousteau, granddaughter of oceanographer, ecologist and filmmaker Jacques-Yves Cousteau, was named the 2008 National Geographic Emerging Explorer. She works to empower people to protect not only aquatic habitats and their inhabitants, but also the communities which rely on water resources.
