Marquette -The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer the class “The Botany of Wintertime” on Thursday, January 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. with participants meeting at 12:30 p.m. at the Berry Events Center to carpool or going directly to 600 Brickyard Road in Marquette Township.
NCLL member Kathy Peters will lead the presentation on her property, where the class will identify trees and shrubs. Wear warm clothing and bring available snowshoeing equipment.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be Thursday, January 21. Cost is $4 for NCLL members, $7 for others. Registration deadline is December 31. To register, call Carol Margrif at 249-9975.
